Hurricane Irma

As Hurricane Irma nears the Florida Coast, evacuations and preparations are under way. If you will be evacuating, remember to take identification, medication and important paperwork, including your insurance policy, with you. If you have time, take pictures and/or video of your contents and the outside of your home before leaving.

If you are able to stay safely at home, stock up on storm essentials. Click here for a hurricane checklist. You will also want to secure outdoor furniture and decorations.

Limit damage to your vehicle by parking on higher ground and away from large trees.
If you must go out on the road, avoid driving through standing water, it may be deeper than it looks.

In the event you experience storm damage and need to file an insurance claim, the Florida Insurance Council has compiled a list of insurers who have set up toll-free numbers to assist with Hurricane claims. View the company list here.

In addition, most companies have online claims reporting, so if you have power and internet access and would like to file your claim electronically, please log on to your company's home page and click on the link to file your report.

Please contact our office if you have any questions or need assistance in filing a claim.

Above all, please be safe!
